He attended the Santa Barbara College of Law in the evening while working full time during the day. During law school, he interned for one year at the Santa Barbara County Counsel's Office. Mr. Covner was the Valedictorian of his law school graduating class in 1997. In April of 1998, Mr. Covner began his legal career with an insurance defense law firm in Ventura. He has been Of Counsel to Norman Dowler LLP since 2012.
